bo staff
great bo staff, very solid construction, very nice quality, would like it even more if it didn't sparkle or have glittery pattern, it is segmented and has a really nice case , great for transport

The price on this site cannot be beaten, the staff is great and super light weight and allows for plenty of control. My only complaint with my particular staff is that it comes loose easier than I'd like. This isn't to say the staff flies apart, but after spinning for a bit, I find myself having to tighten it every 30ish seconds. I've used other staffs by this same company so I know my issue is an isolated incident. aside from that complaint, the staff is perfect.

Questions and Answers
Q: What material is this Bo staff made out of... Wood, plastic, or aluminum? I was also wondering what is the best size for my children. They are 55" tall and 58" tall. Thank you
Asked by: Kim Stout - 1/15/2014
A: According to Tiger Claw, they are made from a light weight balsa wood.

As for sizing, you want the staff to be at minimum an inch shorter than the person, some use the top of the ear as a rule, but as long as you are in that range you should be fine.

In this case I would recommend the 54" for both.

If you are in doubt I would check with the instructor as well to see what they recommend.

Q: Could this Bo Staff be used in combat? or only for demonstrastion?
Asked by: Keyont'e - 8/10/2014
A: This is a lightweight competition/demonstration staff and should not be used for combat or to hit other staffs.

The wood it is made from is meant to be light for speed and is not strong enough to be used in combat.
